Aberdeen homes for sale

Aberdeen is named for the Earl of Aberdeen, Governor General from 1893 to 1898, who visited in November 1894 (source). It's described as one of the city's fastest-growing neighbourhoods, and much of it is newer housing with long views over the valley, plus Costco and Aberdeen Mall at the bottom of the hill.

Two things to know before you buy. First, Aberdeen has two K–7 elementaries (Aberdeen Elementary is a Montessori school of choice), but no secondary school. A new Aberdeen-area secondary is School District 73's top capital priority, and it has not been funded. Second, parts of the neighbourhood fall inside KAMPLAN's Aberdeen Slope Hazard Development Permit Area, and the City has published a groundwater summary report for the area (KAMPLAN). Look up the lot on the City's CityMap before you write an offer, and ask for any geotechnical reports.
